Sith Rune Magic Lesson One
This lesson was written by Dark Lord Foe Raker Gilkane
This to my knowledge is how rune structures are formed, this
may change when we come to better understand Sith Rune Magic.
This lesson will help you understand the properties of Sith Runes.
First we will define the properties of a rune, below you will see the
Bizor Rune. We will use this rune as
an example. What is shown here will apply to all runes.
The
Bizor Rune: Rune of Death
Force: Dark Side
State: Physical
Traits:Find, discover,reveal
Power: Medium
Direction: Matriarch
There are four types of Runes possible,
these are Rune of Death, Rune of Mind, Rune of Power and
Rune of Life. These runes draw on the four waves of possibility,
these four waves of possibility will be discussed in another lesson. Above
you can see high lighted in red, that the Bizor
Rune is a Rune of Death. This mean that the Bizor
Rune draws on the wave of Death.

Force: Dark Side
State: Physical
Traits:Find, discover,reveal
Power: Medium
Direction: Matriarch
The next property of a rune that we will discuss
is the Force. I don't think the Force needs to be explained,
most of you know what that is. There are two types of Force used in a rune,
these are Light Side and Dark Side. The Force
is use to create a rune, a person that wishes to create a rune must use
either the Light Side or the Dark Side of the Force to do this. Above you
can see high lighted in red, that the Bizor Rune
uses the Dark Side of the Force.
The
Bizor Rune: Rune of Death
Force: Dark Side
State: Physical
Traits:Find, discover,reveal
Power: Medium
Direction: Matriarch
The property we will now, discuss is
the State. There are two States possible for a rune to have,
these are Physical and Spiritual. This describes
how the magic of a rune will manifest. Above you can see high lighted in
red, that the Bizor Rune's magic will
manifest Physically.
The
Bizor Rune: Rune of Death
Force: Dark Side
State: Physical
Traits:Find, discover,reveal
Power: Medium
Direction: Matriarch
The next properties we will talk about are
a rune's Traits. All runes have Traits specific
to that rune alone. Pretty much any thing could a trait that a rune could
have. Above you can see high lighted in red, the Bizor
Rune's traits. The traits suggest that the Bizor
Rune would be used to Find or Discover something.
The
Bizor Rune: Rune of Death
Force: Dark Side
State: Physical
Traits:Find, discover,reveal
Power: Medium
Direction: Matriarch
Power is the next property
of a rune we will discuss. There are three power ratings a rune could have,
they are Weak, Medium, and Strong. These power
ratings determine the strength of the magic each rune has, it also defines
how strong the properties in a rune are.
Example One: Two runes are being
used in a rune structure( a rune structure is a group of runes use to create
Sith Rune Magic). One rune's Power is Weak the other
rune's is Strong, each runes position in a rune structure
suggests that it's traits will be applied to the whole rune structure.
Here is were power comes in, the rune with the Strong Power
will have the dominate traits the other rune with the Weak
Power, will have recessive traits.
Example Two: A rune is placed in
a position in a rune structure that determines the overall power of the
rune structure. The rune acts like a fuse or regulator, only a certain
amount of power can be handled by the rune, this is determined by the rune's
Power. Lets say that most of the runes in this rune structure have a Strong
Power rating, if the rune in the position that determines the overall
power of a rune structure is Weak then the overall rune structure
is Weak.
The
Bizor Rune: Rune of Death
Force: Dark Side
State: Physical
Traits:Find, discover,reveal
Power: Medium
Direction: Matriarch
The next property of a rune is Direction,
this a somewhat complicated property, so I saved it for last:). There are
two directions a rune could have these are Matriarch(moving
in a direction left) and Patriarch(Moving in a direction
right). These names describe the position the rune should be in for a paticular
type of rune structure.
The Patriarch and the Matriarch are used in
a rune structure to determine which sub-traits will be applied to the entire
rune structure(Example One). This is
determined by the power of the rune in either the Matriarch
or Patriarch position. The power of each rune is channeled
by the Patriarch (right)and the Matriarch (left)
to a central point, once there the power of the Patriarch and the Matriarch
will determine which traits will be stronger in the rune structure.
This concludes Lesson One. Lesson Two we will learn to apply the properties
of a rune to a specific position in a rune structure.
