SITH DISCIPLINES 

Like the Jedi, the Sith developed areas of study that focused onparticular types 
of Force effects. Though these did not evolve into formal schools, personal 
preference caused many magicians to concentrate on those powers that most 
interretesed them. 

GENERAL 
Some Sith powers defy categorization, or belong in all discipline equally. 
These basic effects fall under the heading of general Dark side powers. Many 
form the basis for the other effects- those more complex powers that require 
an understanding of and proficency in other lesser powers. 

BODY 
Powers in this discipline run the trade route from simple healing rites to 
complicated rituals invalving the creation of Sithspawn-hideous monsters bred 
from the stock of naturally evolved creatures. Some cultures have labeled these 
sorcerers as necromancers, but this nomenclature thrusts the discipline into 
the area of superstitious alchemy-tales and legends laced with equal parts mystic 
blather and pseudo-scientific prattle. The Force transcends technology based 
tricks and allows feats that science cannot duplicate. 

ENERGY 
Certain Force powers summon energy from the user's surroundings and direct it 
at a target for some purpose.The form of Energy include lightning, fire, 
gravity, and other naturally occuring forces. 
Energy powers tend to have the most noticeable effects, preventing the user 
from attempting to keep his machinations secret, as he would be able to do if 
he were using powers from his Mind discipline. Sith interested in this area, 
therefore, tend to have unstable personalities, from obsessive and brooding to 
outright maniacal. 

ILLUSIONS 
Many magicians enthraled by the dark side favor the aspect of the Force that 
allows them to fool the senses of their victums, in a twisted testment to the 
power of the mind over the body. The sensation experienced by the targets of 
such effects appers all too real- but they exits only in the dreamscape 
playground of the mind, that area where creativity and imagination mormally 
flourish. But in the case of this perverted Sith power it becomes the haunted 
battleground of the shadow-forms that impact the affected individual as if the 
delusional phantoms had actual substance. 
Typical illusionary effects employed by the Sith include the morphing of one 
object into another-most often a weapon into a similarly proportioned creature 
with deadly intent. Or the feigned presence of an individual. Or even the 
abscence of an object or being that is truly present. 
The stand that gathers all these powers beneath the banner of illusionary magic 
is the manipulation of their victum's senses. Some Sith scholars continue to 
believe that these effects alter the patern of the Force that "connects" with 
the targets mind, that they somehow augment that brain's normal wavelengths 
or trip synapses that would not fire under the true current conditions in 
which that being finds himself. But since no one has yet discovered the 
physiclities involved in this effect-just as no one has been able to compre- 
hend the true nature of the Force in the first place- no definitive ex- 
planation can be given. Suffice it to say that these powers somehow man- 
ipulate the senses as opposed to the mind(which is covered under the Mind 
discipline). 

MIND 
Effect in this discipline prey on the minds of their victims, altering thoughts 
without without the individal's awareness. Such insidious powers allow Sith 
devotees to manipulate and outright control their targets, forcing them to 
undertake acts they would not normally perform under the given circumstances. 
While the Jedi do use the affect mind power, they curtail their reliance on it, 
for it is far too easy to slip toward to Dark Side when you consistenly intrude 
into other people's minds to twist their thoughts to your will. 

SITH HOLOCRONS 

The safest method of learning Sith powers requires the possession of a 
Sith Holocron. Unfortunately such devises are extremely rare. Most were 
destroyed during the Fall, and not one has come to the attention of the Jedi for 
more than 700 years- which does not mean that they do not exist. Merely that whoever holds them has not yet discovered how to operate them or how to take 
advavntage of thier teachings. 

HOW HOLOCRONS WORK 

Holocron technology arose tens of thousnands of years ago, if not more. 
These devises act as interactive stores of information, most often used to 
retain the secrets of Force powers for future generations. The creator of a 
Holocron essentially transfers a portion of his personality into the object 
and this sentient presence is then referred to as the gatekeeper of that 
Holocron.Most holocrons have special organic crystalline components, a rare 
commodity found only on a few remote worlds, the names of many of which have been lost to history - or purposely hidden by the miners of such scarce gems. 
When arranged properly these crytals form the lattice work of energy that can 
both absorb and later reproduce light and sound wave information. The Sith have 
developed a much more impressive construct by imbuing the crystals with Force 
energy through an elaborate procedure well guarded by its most powerful members. 

**CONCENTRATION** 

The Sith developed talismans of concentration to help them durning long, 
elaborate rites, thos typically associated with the tapping of vast amounts 
of Dark Side power. The talisman allowed a sorceror to concentrate all his will 
to the creation of the desired effect, temporarily increasing his ablitiy to 
manipulate the Force.Unfortunately, use of such a device often caused the weilder to succumb to exhaustion the momnet his Force effect was completed- a defect that preventedsuch talismans from becoming commonly used, especially in battles 
. 
**ENSNARMENT** 

Devices of this nature appear to function excatly as talismans of 
oncentration- especially to a Dark Side weilder. This particular version, 
however, has one added ability: It can immediately turn the weilder to the 
Dark Side.Sith magicians discovered that some Jedi had taken to using Sith 
talismans to serve the Light Side. To defeat this unintended and unwanted use 
of their devices, the Sith constructed manu with the power to insantly lure the 
unsuspecting Jedi to the Dark Side. The secondary function has fulfilled their 
goal, for the use of Sith artifacts by Jedi Knights has been outlaewed ever 
since. 

**HEALING** 

During the Sith revolt led by Naga Sadow, many pureblood Sith devotees 
created talismans of healing to give thier side the advantage in combat 
encounters. The devices quicken and increase the power of a corporal beings 
natural healing processes at the expense of the weilder's ablity to use the 
FORCE. 

**FORCE MASK** 

The use of the Force sends ripples through the galaxy, altering anyone 
able to percieve such subtle vibrations to the location and identity of the 
Force-wielder at the source(the amount of information regarding the emanation 
piont of the ripples is based on the ablity of the individual sensing the dis- 
turbance in the Force). The Sith learned quickly that this natural occurrence 
allowed their movements to be tracked and their ambitions to be foiled by the 
opposing forces, and they created devices called Force Masks to hide such 
eminations. The mask essetially sends out anti-Force-ripples that cancel the natural "waves" produced by the use of the Force. The area around the Force-weilder there fore appears dormant, devoid of any type of Force activity. 

** SHIELD ** 

The Sith shield talisman was one of the first Dark Side devices 
discovered and catalogued by the Jedi. The talisman protects it wearer(it 
usually take the form of an amulet,medallion,necklace or torque) from energy 
(from the light side to pulse-waves to lasers) and Force attacks. Research 
suggests that the device works by absorbing the energy directed at it and 
storing it for use as its own source of fuel. To retain its ablity to function however, the talisman requires an infusion of energy at least once per sstandard week. 

**TRANSLATION** 

The tomes containing Sith teachings,lore,and Force techniques were 
written in the Siths ancient language which has all but died out since the 
destruction of the speices. Very few scholars can descipher the strange 
language, and even fewer have learned to pronounce its complex word structures. 
This talisman, initialy designed and created by the fallen Jedi who 
sought to learn the Sith's secert techniques, allows the wielder to read the 
Sith language as if it were his own native tongue. 

** SWORDS OF THE SITH** 

These alchemically reinforced blades can withstand any blow. Their 
indestructible nature allows them to even parry lightsbers. Such weapons have 
survived through thousands of generations and yet remain in perfect condition, 
their edges sharp and their blades straight. 
 

** DESTRUCTION OF A SITH TALISMAN** 

Ironically enough nearly all Sith Artifacts ever discoeved by the Jedi are still 
intact, The Jdei found that the necessary way to undo the Sith Force weilding was 
to bombard the Atrifact with the power of the Dark Side. Thus not even the 
powerful Jedi Masters of old were able to destroy the Sith Artifacta and 
talismans caputed after the down fall of the Sith. Most still remain in the 
Galacti Museum on Coruscant in the museum's "Sith Hall". 

The Dark Side 

For centuries those that follow the teachings of the Sith , Karth, or 
Jedi that deviate from the "safe" path of the so called Lightside have been call 
ed the follwers of the Dark Side. We have been protrayed as mindless power hungry killers. To this I only cloes my eyes and shake my head in pitty for those 
smaller minded peoples who have the audascity to call themselves Jedi Masters. 
They are not even Masters of their own thoughts and feelings let alone the Force. 
For eons each race and empire have dictated what is good and evil. These 
things are relavent to the being inquestion. The Force simply is. These so-called 
Jedi Masters have fought against the very thing they sought to master the Force. 
The Sith, Krath, and "dark"Jedi are like the early Hyperspace Explorers. Seen as 
reckless and with out discipline by those afraid of what they will discover. These 
early Hyperspace Explorers are not undisciplined fools they were couragous men and women who while sought the excitement of being the ones to find knew and in most cases better Hyperspace routes through out the galaxy. I view the Sith, Krath, and those Dark Jedi as such people. We are embarking on virgin ground down a path that is by no means swifter than that of the beaten Path of the Lightside. Who are the Legecies of the Force. Yoda? I think not the universe forgot Yoda long before he even died. No the Univserse remembers Exar Kun, Ulic, Vader ( for all his fall form grace), and Palpatine. Will Obi Wan or Luke Skywalker be remembered? I think possibly the Skywalker as the son of  Vader and the Jedi Academies founder. But the univserse has already forgotten Obi Wan. However the galaxy will have the influence of the Emperor unpon it forever. Not because he was Emperor, no it will be the unparalled achievements in the Force, Rage, Doppelganger, Force Storms, Force Lightning, need I go on. The so called Darkside is the explorer of the Force while the Lightside is the stagnet self degenerates of the Force. My motto is "There is no knowledge that is not power" and those who stiffle knowledge and label it forbidden are the true evils in the universe. For they not the Sith, Krath, or the Dark Jedi are propetuators of ignorance and the contagtion of the Universe. We are the liberators of free will and choice. It is we the Sith, Krath, and Dark Jedi that move the galaxy. We are the inheiritors of its legecies.
